Assessment and Triage:
When you arrive at Animal Emergency and Specialty Center you will be greeted by one of our trained client service representatives. Your pet will be taken to the back and quickly triaged to determine the urgency of your pet’s condition. Patients are prioritized depending on the severity of their condition. While your pet is being triaged, you will be asked to complete our check-in forms.
Wait Times:
Wait times can vary depending on the number of patients and the severity of their conditions. Often times, our hospital is treating multiple critical patients, and there may be a potential wait. Please be patient with our team as we strive to deliver the best care to all of our patients.
Diagnostics and Treatment Recommendations:
Once the doctor has been able to assess your pet’s status, you will be taken into an examination room to discuss your pet’s condition and the doctor's recommendations. At this time, the doctor may recommend diagnostic tests such as X-rays, bloodwork, and ultrasound. Before any diagnostics are done, the team will discuss treatment options and provide you with an estimated cost.
Cost of an Emergency Visit:
The cost of an emergency visit can be high and will vary based on your pet's condition. Our facility is equipped with digital x-rays, ultrasounds, and in-house laboratory that enables us to quickly assess your pet’s condition all at one location. Our team stays current with the latest advancements in emergency medicine and is available 24/7 to handle your pet's emergency, regardless of the time.
